I had the incredible opportunity to participate in a satellite-making competition organised by Space India. For my exemplary efforts, I was honoured to receive a trophy. Participating in the satellite-making competition was an enriching experience that deepened my fascination with space science and technology. Winning the trophy validated my dedication, creativity, and technical prowess in tackling the challenges of satellite design and construction.
Junior Olympics
Tug Of War
I had the privilege of competing in the Junior Olympics Tug of War, organized by Junior Sports India, an esteemed event that celebrates athletic excellence and sportsmanship. I represented GD Goenka Public School in the event, showcasing teamwork, strength, and determination. I proudly secured the Bronze Medal in the event. We were awarded a trophy in recognition of our team’s outstanding performance. The Junior Olympics Tug of War event instilled in me invaluable lessons about sportsmanship, resilience, and the importance of striving for excellence in all endeavors.
Plantation NGO
Since 2017, I’ve worked with a plantation NGO in Punjab, organising tree-planting events and taking care of the plants. The work focuses on increasing green areas and getting local communities involved in protecting the environment. I’ve managed planting activities and ensured the trees are well cared for. This experience has made me realise the positive impact of our work on the environment. I aim to make the environment healthier and inspire people to adopt eco-friendly practices.
Harvard’s CS50 course
Harvard’s CS50 course, Introduction to Computer Science, is a renowned online course that comprehensively introduces computer science. I developed proficiency in fundamental programming concepts, including variables, control structures, and functions. The course provided me with valuable skills and knowledge, empowering me to tackle complex problems and pursue further studies in computer science.
Blind Home NGO
As an Activity Coordinator at Rashtriya Virjanand Andh Kanya Vidyalaya Society (Regd) NGO in my local community, I dedicated two years to teaching blind students essential computer skills. During this time, I designed and implemented a curriculum focused on MS Word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint. My responsibilities included creating accessible learning materials, providing one-on-one support, and conducting interactive sessions to ensure students could effectively use these applications.
Old Age Home NGO
I volunteered for two years at the Earth Saviour Foundation, an NGO that helps old people. During my time there, I organised various activities to keep the residents engaged and entertained. I also assisted them with their medical appointments and provided daily support, such as helping with meals and personal care. This experience taught me a lot about the needs and challenges faced by elderly people, and I learned how to offer them care and respect in a compassionate manner.
